Twenty Twenty Ends

It was Christmas Eve
in the year Twenty Twenty
Believe you, me
it had been rough for so many

A global pandemic
posed global restriction
Everyone forced home
to avoid adding affliction

Shelves stripped empty
as people became frantic
Toilet paper was knighted
in bare bum clenched panic

And whilst the year did
finally drew curtain
We felt that the virus
showed no signs for certain

Oh the year Twenty Twenty
- did we learn a lot?
To love and appreciate
a lesson sure not forgot

Now Christmas Day
could not be as planned
But we fought and could smile
two metres hand in hand

Merry Christmas ~

#sell #that #story

We see so many people
posting pictures, looking pretty
Bodies on show
abs, boobs and butts
Beggin' for worth
does our self suffer much?

We hear so many people
rant, rave and review
Talking very loud
teeth white like tissue
Chomping away at likes
the perfect smile well bought?

We touch so many people
our content - have you thought?

Ghost Runner

You left before it began

Not near
Not far
Just ran

When I hear from you my blood joins the race
And my heart

What's left
Runs away

Captive

Pursued by a shadow
in light and in dark

It moved all around me
swam circles like shark

Growing ever closer
right beneath my two feet

I gulped as it swallowed
my mind treated as meat
