It was Christmas Eve
in the year Twenty Twenty
Believe you, meit had been rough for so many
A global pandemic
posed global restriction
Everyone forced home
to avoid adding affliction
Shelves stripped empty
as people became frantic
Toilet paper was knighted
in bare bum clenched panic
And whilst the year did
finally drew curtain
We felt that the virus
showed no signs for certain
Oh the year Twenty Twenty
- did we learn a lot?
To love and appreciate
a lesson sure not forgot
Now Christmas Day
could not be as planned
But we fought and could smile
two metres hand in hand
Merry Christmas ~
